THE COMPANY
Eduardo Vallejo founded Batbox Productions in 2018, a platform through which he develops his artistic projects, and in 2019 he created his company Ogmia, supported by institutions such as the National Dance Company, Centro Coreográfico Canal, Teatros del Canal, INAEM, the Community of Madrid, the Madrid City Council, and various local councils and public theatres.
His first creation for Ogmia, No Time to Rage (2019), was programmed at Teatros del Canal and received four nominations for the MAX Awards (Best Dance Performance, Best Choreography, Best Male Performer, and Best Musical Composition). In 2021 he was an artist-in-residence in the Think Big programme (Staatsballett Hannover), premiering his work at TANZtheater International Hannover, and received three awards at Masdanza, including the Audience Award.
In 2022 he premiered Mother Tongue at the Madrid en Danza International Festival. The work was selected for Tanzplattform Bern 2023 and presented at the Quinzena de Dança de Almada, launching a national and international tour. It was later selected by AECID for its 2025–2026 catalogue. In 2023 he premiered Glass House at Danza Xixón, which was presented the following year at Madrid en Danza and MADferia. In 2024 he developed Replicant (with the support of Acción Cultural Española) and began the creation of Spira, with a research residency at Centro Coreográfico Canal and artistic assistance by Roberto Fratini, a collaboration that continues in his 2025 production Bloodmoon. In 2025 he was invited as a creator to the 7×7 programme at Tanzhaus Basel.
His work has been presented at festivals and theatres in Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Poland, and Italy, including Mercat de les Flors, Teatros del Canal, Teatro Jovellanos, TANZtheater Hannover, Tanzplattform Bern, and Wonderland Festival.
In parallel, he develops the research process Movimiento Dactilar, an anthropological and cognitive-behavioural approach to movement that connects creation, research, and pedagogy. He has taught workshops and taken part in residencies at institutions such as the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona, Theater Basel, Centro Coreográfico Canal, Elephant in the Black Box, higher and professional conservatories, and various international programmes.
